Agricultural Land to Domestic Garden Location - Steventon, South Oxfordshire Budget - £60,000+ Timescale - 12 weeks Working closely with garden designer Sarah Naybour, we had the privilege of completing a garden build in Steventon in the summer of 2017. After planning permission had been granted to turn the agricultural land into a domestic garden, worked commenced. The specification of this garden was complex; it needed to complement the natural surroundings and be suitable for the family who live there and their four young children to play, entertain and explore. The build comprised a patio area of London Stone Kota Brown Limestone at 65m2, 3000m2 of turf and 900m2 of wildflower meadow grass supplied by Harrowden Turf. Complete with children's play tunnels and a vast variety of plants, this garden was a delight to build. It wasn't without it's challenges; the land was unusually wet for July and made the ground a marsh land! However, with our team of skilled and knowledgable landscapers, the project was finished to our exacting high standards and we are extremely proud of the finished space. Porcelain Paving & Artificial Grass Garden, Didcot, Oxfordshire Location - Didcot, Oxfordshire Price range - £10,000 Timescale - Two weeks For this project, the clients desired slick, Porcelain paving in large slabs and artificial grass. They specifically wanted a modern, contemporary outdoor room, which looked neat and trendy, but that would also be safe for their young baby to explore. They had not long moved into this home and were busy renovated the house interior and so it was important to them to have a team to take care of the garden, that they could trust and rely on. With the interior taking on a modern look, they wanted the garden to match. The client also requested a garden which could be enjoyed both in the summer and winter months and would be easy to maintain. We chose plants along the boarders which would not require a lot of care and built a decking which extends from their living room; providing the perfect outdoor space to enjoy. The decking fit nicely in an area between the kitchen and living room and filled a space of the garden which was other wise unusable. The artificial lawn by Namgrass complimented the paving and we installed thin paving cuts around the lawn to give it a finished and modern look. Pergola Seating Area Location - Abingdon, Oxfordshire Date - September, 2017 Budget - £15,000 This garden was previously a tired outdoor space, in need of a refurbishment. Our client specified they wanted a large area for outdoor entertaining, with some shelter in the garden too. Along with a beautiful Bradstone paving patio, granite setts were used around the lawn and patio edges, which gave a nice contrast to the smooth porcelain paving. Our team also constructed a Pergola seating area in one corner of the space and a large new lawn, which compliments this new entertaining space perfectly. Oak Pool House Location - Aston Upthorpe, Oxfordshire Date - November, 2017 Timescale - 8 days After working for this client on a number of occasions in the past, they contacted us to see if we could help with a new pool house in their garden. We had previously refurbishing the landscape around this client's swimming pool in August 2017 with a large amount of limestone paving and we now planned to construct an Oak Pool House as a centrepiece, in order to provide an area for entertaining. We were able to re-use some of the old materials, for example the roof tiles from the previous pool building. We offer garden maintenance services from lawn mowing, hedge cutting, weeding to leaf clearance, on a domestic scale. We can visit regularly or as a one off, depending on the work required. Over the past five years we have established relationships with many families in and around our county, maintaining their gardens and pruning them in anticipation for the months we can enjoy the outdoors. We are proud to look after many small scale gardens for homes throughout Oxfordshire, and have done so for many years. Our strong relationship with our clients allows our teams to access these outdoor spaces at times most convenient for our customers, should that be whilst they are at work and even at weekends. Location – Thatcham, Berkshire Timescale – Twelve weeks In 2022, we worked alongside designer Andrea Newill to create a contemporary space for her clients in Thatcham, Berkshire. This Spa Meadow garden presented a unique set of challenges; the clients were looking to incorporate numerous features into a relatively small space so planning and execution were vital. We were also working to a tight timeframe as a result of supply chain and key material delays. RHS Silver Award Winners with 'The Redshift' Garden - The Malvern Show 2019 Location - Malvern Three Counties Show GroundPrice - SponsorshipTimescale – 7 days In May this year, we had the pleasure of working alongside Rockhopper Garden Design at the RHS Malvern Show. Designing and constructing a show garden was something neither us nor Julie (RGD) had been a part of before and so needless to say we were all very excited and ready for the long drive up to the Three Counties Showground. With the help of our sponsor, the Institute of Physics, Julie designed 'The Red shift' garden to celebrate how telescopes have helped us to develop an understanding of our universe. The beginning stages of the build included setting and marking out within our allocated patch at the showground and laying the concrete base for the 'Earth' section, of the garden. This centre piece comprised an outstanding quote panel by Stark and Greensmith and an impressive sculpture by Julie Grose Metal Design. We also installed beautiful oak benches by Factory Furniture and Sandstone Cobbles by London Stone; all of which was complemented by a fabulous array of planting and colourful flowers. Just before the show welcomes it's visitors, the garden entrees are judged and critiqued and we were proudly awarded a Silver Medal for The Redshift. All of us worked extremely hard on this project and were over the moon with the finished garden.

Traditional Garden Design and Build - East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire A traditional garden build Location - East Hagbourne, Oxfordshire Budget - £10,000+ Timescale - 3 weeks In the summer of 2018 we completed a beautiful garden in East Hagbourne, in time to be showcased at the open garden event in the village. The client requested the garden be easy to maintain, whilst not too minimalistic but also most importantly tie in with the large existing wall surrounding the space. Jack designed the entire garden and the team built it within 3 weeks to an excellent standard. The garden required quite a bit of clearance initially, including removing an old glass greenhouse and allotments. Once the space was cleared the work commenced. The largest area of patio comprised Citron Limestone paving and the feature bricks within the patio and the wall were Reclaimed Wire Cut bricks. Surrounding the patio were some raised and floor based flower beds and decorative wooden fencing. This created the perfect screen between the existing out house building and the new garden. The main focus point of the garden was the water feature, built using the reclaimed bricks. The finished product was superb and exactly as Jack and the client had envisaged. Also incorporated into Jack's design were two custom built oak furniture pieces by J. Drewe Landscaping; enabling the client to sit out on a warm day and enjoy their new outdoor room. New Build Garden Transformation - Oxford Location - Oxford Budget - £20,000+ Timescale - 3 weeks Working with a new build garden is always a pleasure, as the space rarely requires more than a quick clear out. This garden for a new build three storey home was designed by Sarah Naybour and took approximately three weeks to complete. The initial stages of this project involved organising the different garden levels and preparing the base for the raised beds and the patio. The paving used is Black Granite from Hard Scape. Sometimes a dark paving can be overpowering in a smaller garden, but here it worked fantastically. Sarah and the client envisaged the garden to be an extension of their home, with the patio doors from the kitchen diner opening out onto an outdoor calm oasis. The garden also features white rendered raised beds containing tropical plants and palm trees. The beds were one of the harder elements of the garden to complete but they proved worth it once they were finished. The artificial grass used is Easigrass Mayfair. The space covered in grass cleverly allowed all of the plants to suit the space, including the more traditional trees used. The screening surrounding the garden is painted softwood. The subtle grey colour further adds to the modern and sophisticated feel of the space. In November 2017 we were contacted by a client who had recently purchased a new build home in Thame, Oxfordshire. Their large garden was a blank canvas of turf and basic paving and they desperately wanted the space to reflect the interior of their stylish new property. New Build Garden Makeover – Designs and Plans Having sought a designer of their own, we were provided with the plans and drawings and asked for a quotation. The design was created by the impressive and reputable Garden Designer Richard Key and we were excited to explore the drawings and learn more about the vision he had in mind for this space. The new garden would incorporate tropical planting supplied by Folia, a trendy and relaxing seating area, lawn edged with metal edgings, a variety of paving and an imaginative play area for the younger residents at this home. We were also asked to create a lighting plan for the garden too. Agricultural Land to Domestic Garden Location – Steventon, South OxfordshireBudget – £60,000+Timescale – 12 weeks Working closely with garden designer Sarah Naybour, we had the privilege of completing our biggest project to date in Steventon in the summer of 2017. After planning permission had been granted to turn the agricultural land into a domestic garden, worked commenced. The specification of this garden was complex; it needed to complement the natural surroundings and be suitable for the family who live there and their four young children to play, entertain and explore. The build comprised a patio area of London Stone Kota Brown Limestone at 65m2, 3000m2 of turf and 900m2 of wildflower meadow grass supplied by Harrowden Turf. Complete with children’s play tunnels and a vast variety of plants, this garden was a delight to build. It wasn’t without it’s challenges; the land was unusually wet for July and made the ground a marsh land! However, with our team of skilled and knowledgable landscapers, the project was finished to our exacting high standards and we are extremely proud of the finished space. Porcelain Paving & Artificial Grass Garden, Didcot, Oxfordshire Location – Didcot, OxfordshirePrice range – £10,000Timescale – Two weeks For this project, the clients desired slick, Porcelain paving in large slabs and artificial grass. They specifically wanted a modern, contemporary outdoor room, which looked neat and trendy, but that would also be safe for their young baby to explore. They had not long moved into this home and were busy renovated the house interior and so it was important to them to have a team to take care of the garden, that they could trust and rely on. With the interior taking on a modern look, they wanted the garden to match. The client also requested a garden which could be enjoyed both in the summer and winter months and would be easy to maintain. We chose plants along the boarders which would not require a lot of care and built a decking which extends from their living room; providing the perfect outdoor space to enjoy. The decking fit nicely in an area between the kitchen and living room and filled a space of the garden which was other wise unusable. The artificial lawn by Namgrass complimented the paving and we installed thin paving cuts around the lawn to give it a finished and modern look. Garden Lighting The lighting you choose for your garden is a vital component for any finished space. The mood, ambiance and decor is set by the lights in your new outdoor home. Our recent project in Thame was no different. This new build home was desperate for a slick, stylish but playful garden for both its owners and their children to enjoy. The garden itself was designed by Richard Key and Jack set out the lighting plan. A lot of thought and organisation goes into the layout of the lights; with consideration needed for the location of each bulb and the effect it will have on the wider picture. We wanted to share some night images from this project with you as we are beyond happy with the end result, as are our customers who have been a pleasure to work for.

However, with the introduction of our new Marketing Manager, we thought we would let take her take reins and tweak our logo to be new and unique! We think she has done a wonderful job - the new logo looks sophisticated and bold. It suits our fleet wonderfully and we are currently in the process of updating all literature; including business cards and flyers, our website and uniforms. Christmas Reflecting on 2017 How is it going to be Christmas Day 3 days from now! Time flies when you are having a good year! With Christmas fast approaching and just before we close ourselves down for the holidays, we thought it would be nice to reflect on what a year 2017 has been for J. Drewe Landscaping. The most momentous thing to happen to us was by far the transition from Sole Trader to Limited Company. J. Drewe Landscaping was founded by Jack some five years ago, when he had a handful of small maintenance jobs and one landscaping team. Since then it has moved from strength to strength. Now with over 12 employees comprising multiple landscaping teams, maintenance and office staff, 2018 is set to be even more exciting than last year. The move to Limited is vastly important to our business today and our clients. We now have the capacity to build complex, highly detailed gardens and maintain the largest of landscapes in locations throughout the South of England. In other exciting news! As we'd hoped, we have continued our grounds maintenance in London for a renowned housing developer in Mill Hill. The builder completed the work earlier this year and whilst we worked directly for them; once the site was finished and handed to the Management Company, the maintenance work would be out for tender. Oak Pool House Location – Aston Upthorpe, OxfordshireDate – November, 2017Timescale – 8 days After working for this client on a number of occasions in the past, they contacted us to see if we could help with a new pool house in their garden. We had previously refurbishing the landscape around this client’s swimming pool in August 2017 with a large amount of limestone paving and we now planned to construct an Oak Pool House as a centrepiece, in order to provide an area for entertaining. We were able to re-use some of the old materials, for example the roof tiles from the previous pool building. We are launching a brand new website! After 5 years we have finally decided to let go of the rains a little and allow someone else to design us a brand new website! Jack created our original site himself back when the company first began. Although the site worked well and was very user friendly, we wanted something far more unique, exciting and yummy for our customers to enjoy. We have known for some time that it would be far more professional to have a streamline site built for us. Working alongside the team at Bubble Creative Solutions we have put together the perfect site. The new webpage complements our work beautifully and shows our projects in their finest light. We have come such a long way since the first draft which we felt resembled our original site far too much. Whilst we loved our old site, we decided to go for a total overhaul and complete change for the new one, to really make it worthwhile. The original website was very white and plain although with plenty of images, but this time we wanted the images to be the main focus. We wanted something minimalistic and contemporary – just like Jack’s favourite type of garden. After meeting with BC to discuss the changes we needed, the second draft was a hit! Pergola Seating Area Location – Abingdon, OxfordshireDate – September, 2017Budget – £15,000 This garden was previously a tired outdoor space, in need of a refurbishment. Our client specified they wanted a large area for outdoor entertaining, with some shelter in the garden too. Along with a beautiful Bradstone paving patio, granite setts were used around the lawn and patio edges, which gave a nice contrast to the smooth porcelain paving. Our team also constructed a Pergola seating area in one corner of the space and a large new lawn, which compliments this new entertaining space perfectly.
